About Me

Well, I'm Destiny!

On the internet, I go by the username Dawnlight Dev (or simply Dawnlight). I'm a 23-year-old Computer Science graduate with a passion for software engineering, system design, and building technology that solves meaningful problems. Whether I'm developing websites or designing game systems, I enjoy approaching challenges with a combination of technical precision, creativity, and careful planning.

My professional experience includes working as a MySQL database administrator on a Chinese pinyin dictionary project, where I was responsible for managing and maintaining large datasets, as well as tutoring introductory Computer Science courses at university. These experiences strengthened both my technical problem-solving abilities and my ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to others.

Today, I work as a freelance full-stack web developer, building modern web apps and digital experiences for clients while continuing to invest time in personal projects. Alongside my web development work, I am also developing a JRPG-inspired game in Godot Engine, an ongoing project that allows me to combine software engineering, game design, storytelling, and systems architecture into a single creative endeavor.

I primarily work with C# and JavaScript on a daily basis, and I hold certifications in Responsive Web Design, JavaScript Data Structures and Algorithms, and Foundational C#. Beyond my current work, I have a strong interest in software architecture, programming language design, databases, artificial intelligence, and computer science research. My long-term goal is to pursue graduate studies in Computer Science and continue developing the expertise needed to tackle increasingly complex technical challenges.

Whether through professional development, academic study, or personal projects, I am constantly looking for opportunities to learn, improve, and deepen my understanding of the field. Computer Science is more than a career path for me—it's a discipline I genuinely enjoy exploring, both as an engineer and as a lifelong student.
